Orders & changes

How do I place an order?

Add items to your basket and proceed to checkout. We accept all major payment methods including credit and debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. You'll receive an order confirmation email as soon as your payment is processed.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Orders can be changed or cancelled within one hour of placing them. After that they move into picking and packing and we can no longer make changes to them.

If you need to cancel quickly, contact us immediately with your order number in the subject line and we'll do our best.

I made a mistake in my delivery address. What do I do?

Contact us as soon as possible with your order number and the correct address. If your order hasn't been dispatched yet, we can update it. Once it's with the courier, we'll do our best but can't guarantee a change in time.

How do I track my order?

You'll receive a dispatch confirmation email with a tracking link once your order leaves us. Tracking updates can take a few hours to appear after dispatch.

You can also use the Track Your Order page on our site — enter your order number and email address.

My order arrived damaged. What should I do?

We're sorry to hear that. Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the damage and your order number. We'll arrange a replacement or full refund straight away.

Delivery

How long does delivery take?

Orders are dispatched within one to two working days. After dispatch: standard UK delivery is two to four working days, express next-day delivery is order by 12 noon for next working day. These are estimates and depend on your courier. We'll keep you updated by email.

How much does delivery cost?

Standard UK delivery is free on orders over £50. For orders under £50, a flat rate of £3.95 applies. Express next-day delivery is £6.95 regardless of order value.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland, Highlands, and Islands?

Yes, we deliver across the whole of the UK. Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, and Channel Islands may have extended delivery times of one to two additional working days. Standard delivery rates apply.

Do you ship internationally?

At the moment we ship to mainland UK only. International shipping is something we're working on. Join our mailing list to be the first to know when it goes live.

Returns & refunds

What is your returns policy?

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return any item. It must be unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging.

We'll confirm receipt within two working days of the return arriving with us, and process your refund within five working days after that.

How do I start a return?

Email us at support@linnea-home.co.uk with your order number and the item you'd like to return. We'll reply with a return label and instructions within one working day.

Who pays for return postage?

If the item is faulty or we sent you the wrong thing, we'll cover return postage in full. For change-of-mind returns, a £3.95 return postage fee is deducted from your refund.

Can I exchange an item instead of returning it?

We don't process exchanges directly — the quickest route is to return the original item for a refund and place a new order for the replacement. This gets the new item to you faster.

Products

Are your sizes in centimetres or inches?

All our product dimensions are listed in centimetres. If you need a conversion, a rough guide: 1 inch = 2.54 cm. Our Size Guide has common rug sizes converted for reference.

Do your colours look the same in person as on screen?

We photograph everything in natural daylight and don't retouch colours. There will always be some variation between screens, but our photos aim to be as faithful as possible.

If you're unsure about a colour, email us and we can describe it more specifically — or mention what else is in the room and we can advise.

Do you offer rug samples?

We don't offer samples at the moment, but our 30-day return policy means you can order a rug, see it in your space, and return it if it doesn't work — at no risk.

Are your products suitable for underfloor heating?

Flat-weave and low-pile rugs like the Fjord Wave Rug and the Nord Printed PVC Mat are compatible with underfloor heating. Thicker pile rugs and round rugs like the Sund Soft Round can reduce heat transfer and are not recommended for heated floors. Each product page notes compatibility. If in doubt, contact us and we'll advise.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All transactions are processed securely via Shopify Payments.

Is it safe to pay on your website?

Yes. Our checkout is powered by Shopify, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. Your card details are encrypted and never stored on our servers. You'll see a padlock in your browser when you're on our checkout page.

When is my card charged?

Your card is charged when you complete checkout. You'll receive an order confirmation email with a summary of your purchase. If a charge appears but you didn't receive a confirmation, contact us and we'll look into it.

Do you offer buy now, pay later?

We don't currently offer buy now, pay later options such as Klarna or Clearpay. This is something we're looking at for the future.

Product care

How do I care for a velvet cushion?

For velvet cushion covers like the Knot Velvet Cushion, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid machine washing — velvet can mat if soaked. Brush the pile gently in one direction after cleaning to restore the texture. Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.

How do I wash a cotton blanket or throw?

The Lys Cotton Sofa Blanket and other cotton throws can be machine washed at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach. Tumble dry on low or lay flat to air dry. Cotton softens with washing, so the texture improves over time.

How do I clean a rug?

Vacuum regularly with a low-suction setting. For spills, blot immediately with a clean cloth — don't rub. For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth with mild soapy water and blot dry. Full wet cleaning is not recommended for most rug types. Specific care instructions are printed on the label and listed on each product page.

My rug is shedding. Is that normal?

Light shedding in the first few weeks is normal for tufted and tassel rugs — the Rulle Mini Tufted Rug and Souk Tassel Rug in particular. It's loose fibres from the weaving process working their way out. Vacuum gently and consistently and it will settle within four to six weeks. If shedding continues heavily after that, contact us.

How do I stop my rug from slipping?

Use a non-slip rug pad cut to size. These protect both the rug and your floor, reduce movement, and add a small amount of cushioning underfoot. We recommend a pad for all flat-surface placements.
